I somehow rarely participate in any reading challenges or book tags and to be honest, I don’t even have an excuse for it. So, today is going to be a different kind of post because I’m… *drum roll*… going to change that this year!!!
I already set up my own reading resolutions and goals for 2019 (Setting Up A Reading Challenge 101 🖊️) and talked about my most anticpated releases of the year on this blog and to round things up I am joining the YEAR OF THE ASIAN READING CHALLNGE aka YARC hosted by Shelea (@Shut Up Shelea), Lily (@Sprinkles of Dreams), Vicky (@Vicky Who Reads) and CW(@The Quiet Pond) in order to:
- Read more diversely
- Participate in a Reading Challenge
The Challenge is about reading as many books written by Asian authors as possible throughout the whole year and that shouldn’t be that difficult considering all these releases coming out this year!! The bloggers included different levels depending on the amount of books you would like to read represented through cute little badges. I’m aiming for the very first level which is the Philippine tarsier since I’ve put my general reading goal down to 20 books. Therefore, it would be nice if 1-10 of the books are by Asian authors.
If you want to join the YARC as well you can sign up here and read the guidelines on any of the bloggers posts. I am really excited for this Reading Challenge and all the amazing books by Asian authors that are coming out this year. I’ll keep track of my reads through this blog post, my goodreads page and my bookstagram.
